9/11 Keeping Faith, Keeping Freedom

 This year 9/11 occurs on a Tuesday, the same
date as the tragic events that took 2,996 innocent
lives and brought a nation together like
never before in recent history. At a press conference
on August 28th, on the steps of San
Antonio's City Hall, co-chairs Mayor Phil Hardberger
and Rabbi Aryeh Scheinberg, of Congregation
Rodfei Sholom, along with Bishop
Patrick Zurek of the Archdiocese of San Antonio,
Rev. Buckner Fanning of Buckner Fanning
Ministries, and Jeanne Goodlin of the San Antonio
Community of Churches invited people of
faiths to participate in this first of its kind observance
called, "9/11 Keeping Faith, Keeping
Freedom". The purpose of the event is to prayerfully memorialize the victims of 9/11.
